About Us
The National Coalition on Accessible Voting (NCAV) is a group of more than twenty civil and disability rights organizations who work together to protect voting access for people with disabilities. We promote fair, open elections where people with disabilities drive our democracy forward.
Our Goals
Ensure people with disabilities and policymakers know about voting rights and voting accessibility for people with disabilities.
The NCAV creates campaigns, briefs, and statements that help people with disabilities and policymakers learn about their rights. We’ve made everything from the plain language #RightToHelp campaign to a guide for election officials on voting accessibility.
Expand and maintain people with disabilities’ voting rights through coalition advocacy.
The NCAV supports policies and laws that make it easier for people with disabilities to vote. The NCAV opposes laws and policies that make it harder for people with disabilities to vote. Our advocacy has changed policy and helped the general public understand when a law or rule impacts their right to vote.
Work together to come up with new ideas to improve voting accessibility.
The NCAV is made up of many different organizations. Each organization has different experiences working on voting and voting accessibility. By working together, the NCAV can create brand new ideas for making voting more accessible
